It is true that the thought of each individual does have a powerful impact on our physical reality:

Over 11,000 people from over 65 countries took part in a global peace intention experiment in September 2008, focusing their peace towards the Wanni (north) region of Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka has experienced a prolonged, savage civil war with more suicide bombings than anywhere else on the planet. Thousands have been displaced and the recent tsunami has had added toil to a once settled people.

Lynne McTaggart established the Intention Experiment to scientifically verify, via statistical feedback, the effect that individual thought can have on our external physical reality. Working in conjunction with Jessica Utts, Professor of Statistics at the University of California - the data will be analysed and assessed in further detail.

The experiment involved eight days of thoughts using the following intention set by a group of random people:

"My intention is for peace and cooperation to be restored in the Wanni region of Sri Lanka and for all war-related deaths and violence to be reduced by at least 10 per cent"

Preliminary Results

Prior to the experiment, the Wanni Region averaged 102 deaths per week. Interestingly the results showed that initially violence increased during the eight day experiment. A last surge of attacks by the Sri Lankan government brought on 461 murders in the eight days of the experiment - an actual massive increase.

However, in the 24 days following the experiment, violence levels immediately plummeted and have remained low. The weekly average death rate in the Wanni region has dropped by 49 per cent

On the other side of the island, an interesting reaction was a 68.4 percent decline during the same time.

Interesting Feedback

Many found it difficult to visualise a reduction of war. Whereas an increase in peace would be much easier to picture.

Natural says "Just try not to think about a pink elephant... In line with the philosophy of best selling author Yvonne Oswald PhD, we can say that if you think about the word "war", you will put this vibration out into the world, it doesn't matter if you think about "less war" or "less death", the vibration of this low energy word will remain present…”

Live your life knowing that you matter. THUS – there is but one reason to be alive as a human, and that is to live this incarnation as intensely and completely as you possibly can, and never regret anything.

If you are self-empowered as a human being within your self – you will know and understand the wisdom that lies within the above sentence.

God has given itself a world where living is more important than understanding why we live. If you cannot stand living in such a world then don’t attempt living life as a master of it..

..and if you don’t want to give away your power, then don’t talk about everything all the time, as much understanding is cultivated in silence and contemplation.

The only way you can live life with what you have been given, is to fall in love with yourself; and remember that appreciating what you have little of is easy, and appreciating what you have lots and lots of takes a spiritual master.

The wiser the soul, the greater the simplicity - in everything.
